Calgary Today – Kazakhstan Tomorrow: World Petroleum Congress 2017
Calgary, Alta – From October 19 to 22, 2013 Kazakhstani government and petroleum industry officials will converge in Calgary during the 4th World Petroleum Council Youth Forum. Their purpose is to present Kazakhstan’s capital, Astana, as the preferred candidate city for the World Petroleum Council’s World Petroleum Congress 2017.
Events in Calgary promoting Astana, Kazakhstan, its culture and traditions, and the coming EXPO-2017 will be featured. One of the main events will be Photo Exhibition Hyatt Regency Hotel in Calgary. The Exhibition will be held 19-22 October, with the official opening and closing ceremonies on 22nd of October with participation of the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Canada.
There will also be a Kazakhstan-Canadian business forum on 22nd of October in the same room as the exhibition.
In attendance from Kazakhstan will be, Oil and Gas Minister of Kazakhstan Mr. Uzakbay Karabalin; Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Canada Mr. Konstantin Zhigalov; Vice-chairman of the National Committee, Bid Team Leader Mr. Jambulat Sarsenov; and businessmen of Kazakhstan.
